The 2-K-DOS and 2-K-MiniDOS
\nmixing and dispensing devices
\ncan process polyurethane and
\nepoxy casting compounds with
\nviscosities up to around 20.000
\nmPas at room temperature.
\nCasting compounds, particularly
\nepoxy and polyurethane, develop
\nlower viscosities at higher
\ntemperatures. An increase in
\ntemperature of 10\u00b0 C reduces
\nthe viscosity by approximately a
\nfactor of 2. The THERMO-DOS
\nheating option reduces the
\nviscosity to such an extent that
\nit is possible to process casting
\ncompounds with viscosities up
\nto approximately 80,000 mPas. <\/p>\n
For casting compounds that can
\nbe dispensed at room temperature
\nbut that flow poorly or too
\nslowly into the parts to be sealed,
\nthe heating reduces the viscosity
\nto such an extent that
\nsuch compounds can be processed
\nmore quickly during
\nsealing and the compounds can
\nalso flow into narrow gaps in the
\nparts that are to be sealed.<\/p>\n
With the THERMO-DOS option,
\nthe two material containers, the
\npumps, the dispensing hose and
\nthe dispensing head are heated.
\nThe modules are heated individually
\nwith temperature control.<\/p>\n
The temperature is adjusted
\ncentrally at the heating control
\nunit. If more heating is required
\nfor large material containers, a
\nheating sleeve can additionally
\nbe placed around the container.
\nA heater is also available for the
\nmixing nozzle. This ensures that
\nthe casting compound is always
\navailable in a heated and lowviscosity
\nform at the mixing
\nnozzle without a lead time, even
\nafter a device standstill or
\ninterruption in the sealing work.
