ASSCON Vapor-Phase-Reflow-Soldering Systems set the
\nbenchmark in soldering technology. The physical laws of
\nthe process permit defect-free soldering of the most complicated
\nSMT assemblies in any required geometry even
\nwhen using lead-free solder pastes. Components such as
\nQFPs, BGAs, Flip-Chips as well as hybrids are processed
\nwith very high quality results.<\/p>\n
The VP 510 Series is designed to be used in the laboratory
\nand for prototype production. Due to its compact design
\nand optionally an integrated cooling unit the machine may
\nbe used at any place and without preparatory set-up even
\nat different workplaces. With an integrated closed cooling
\nsystem installed only a 240 V \/ 120 V supply connection is
\nrequired to operate the unit.<\/p>\n
Machine design concept
\nThe machine is impressive due its simplicity, ease of use
\nand providing the ability to solder high quality assemblies
\ndefect-free. Integrated in the self-supporting structure is
\nthe process zone with electrically operated lift-unit and the
\nwork piece carrier. The electronic control includes temperature
\nsensors for the heaters, fluid and steam temperatures
\nand therefore ensures absolute process reliability. An automatic
\nmeasuring cycle recognizes the prozess fluid used.
\nThe machine is delivered with an automatic monitoring of
\nthe process fluid level by default. The whole process can
\nbe observed through a sight window. A quick start function
\nreduces energy consumption during stand by mode and
\nguarantees operational readiness for the next solder cycle
\nwithin the shortest time.<\/p>\n
Process sequence
\nAfter opening the machine cover the solder product is
\nplaced on a work piece carrier. The process starts. An electric
\nmotor moves the work piece carrier with the assemblies
\nto be soldered into soldering position. The PLC controls vapor
\nproduction according to the set temperature gradients.
\nHaving reached the soldering temperature the work piece
\ncarrier is moved to the cooling position. The inner lock between
\nprocess and cooling zone closes. The solder product
\nis cooled by an effective blower system. After the cooling
\ntime has expired, a signal indicates release for removing of
\nthe work piece. An electromechanical guard locking prevents
